Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) Toolset

Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools are an important enabling technology for the delivery of well-managed IT systems with reduced risk and managed cost. Agility Network Services uses an industry-leading RMM toolset in the course of managing client networks. To make that decision, the team went through a careful selection process and determined the toolset that best met its needs. The result of this process is the primary RMM toolset called the Agility Management Platform, or AMP for short.

AMP is available for all clients: where Agility Network Services fully manages the client’s infrastructure, where a client’s own IT staff is fully responsible, and in hybrid variations where both Agility Network Services and the client share the ultimate responsibility for management. It is a cornerstone of the company’s Core Managed Services practice and is used daily by its consultants.

When AMP is used by clients that do not require full IT management because they already have capable and trusted staff, it is called AMP for Enterprise (AMP-E). AMP-E clients want to provide their staff with the same technical capabilities that have proven useful in helping Agility Network Services consulting staff achieve quality results.

AMP uses a small piece of software that enables a broad range of functions for every managed endpoint. This software runs and communicates securely, compactly, and with limited impact on day-to-day business operations while offering a powerful tool for accessing, analyzing, and responding to issues that have begun to impact end users or, in many cases, before an impact is felt by end users.

Server and desktop management are key components of AMP. The platform can deliver monitoring, managed security services, backup, software management, and multiple other IT Infrastructure Management functions from within a single-pane-of-glass interface. All system management practices are platform-neutral and cloud-delivered.

AMP is also used for point-solution productivity by consultants at project-only clients when appropriate, helping enable the efficiency of access used at managed clients for the duration of a project. This access is generally included for the duration of the project.

In addition, when needed, Agility Network Services invokes other toolsets when there is a specific, urgent, or focused need for a specialty toolset. In those cases, Agility Network Services brings in stable, vetted, industry-best-fit toolsets that reinforce the approach that begins with AMP.

Whether for in-depth, point-in-time network analysis, online cloud-based backup, cloud virtual office data continuity, or email-stream threat scrubbing and remediation, Agility Network Services has a broad base of complementary tools to AMP. These tools allow the company to provide a complete management solution for a wide range of business IT systems.
