RMM Toolset
Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools are an important enabling technology for the delivery of well-managed IT systems with reduced risk and managed cost. We use the industry-leading RMM toolset in the course of our delivery of managing client networks. To make that decision, we went through a careful selection process and determined the toolset that met our needs best. The result of this process is our primary RMM toolset called the Agility Management Platform, or AMP for short.
AMP is available for all our clients – where we fully manage the client’s infrastructure, where clients whose own IT staff is fully responsible, and in hybrid variations where we and the client share the ultimate responsibility for that management. It is a cornerstone of our management practice and used daily by our consultant.
When AMP is used by clients that do not require full IT management due to already having a capable and trusted staff it is called AMP for Enterprise (AMP-E). AMP-E clients simply want to provide their staff with the same capabilities from a technical standpoint that have proven themselves in helping our consulting staff achieve quality results.
AMP utilizes a small piece of software that enables a rainbow of functions for every managed endpoint. This software runs and communicates securely, compactly, and with limited impact on business operations day-to-day while offering a powerful tool for accessing, analyzing, and responding to issues that have begun to impact end-users, or in many cases prior to an impact being felt by end-users.
Server and desktop management are key components of AMP, which can deliver monitoring, security, backup, software management and multiple other functions from within a single-pane-of-glass interface.
All our system management practices are platform-neutral and cloud-delivered.
AMP is also used for point-solution productivity by our consultants at project-only clients where appropriate, to enable the efficiency of access that we enjoy at managed clients for the duration of the project and is generally included for the duration of the project.
In addition, and when needed, we invoke a number of other toolsets, when we have a specific, urgent, or focused need for a specialty toolset. In those cases, we bring in a number of other stable, vetted, industry-best-fit toolsets that reinforce the approach that we begin with AMP. Whether for in-depth, point-in-time network analysis, online, cloud-based backup and cloud virtual office data continuity, or email-stream threat scrubbing and remediation, we have a broad base of complementary tools to AMP that allow us to provide a complete management solution for any set of business IT systems.
